Georgia has developed a substantial body of healthcare regulation since independence, aligned progressively with European Union and WHO standards. This section provides the first systematic English-language index of that framework, covering four areas:

About this resource
Georgia’s healthcare regulatory environment is dynamic and technically complex. Legislation is enacted through three main channels: Georgian laws (კანონი) passed by Parliament, government decrees (დადგენილება) issued by the Cabinet, and ministry orders (ბრძანება) issued by the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs. All are officially published in the Legislative Herald of Georgia (Matsne — matsne.gov.ge).
PHIG curates and contextualises these documents in English to support international accreditation, institutional development, research and comparative policy analysis. Each entry links to the original official source. Georgian-language annotations are added in progress.
