In June 2025 the Safe Supplement Georgia initiative opened a public database at supplement.ge, giving consumers and professionals independent information on food supplements sold in Georgia.
The database now lists more than 28,000 products (source: supplement.ge, September 2026). Each product is evaluated against Georgian and EU requirements and classified so that consumers can see compliance at a glance.

The database indexes over 28,000 supplement products registered or sold in Georgia, with ingredient-level detail drawn from product labels, manufacturer declarations, and regulatory filings. Each ingredient entry includes the substance’s international classification, known interactions, and any regulatory status under Georgian or EU law.
The platform is designed to help consumers, pharmacists, and healthcare providers make informed decisions about supplement use — a growing public health concern in Georgia, where supplement sales have increased sharply since 2018 with limited regulatory oversight. It also supports PHIG’s advocacy for stronger food supplement regulation aligned with EU standards.
Safe Supplement Georgia operates at supplement.ge as a sister platform to PHIG’s SheniEkimi health information network. Data is open access and free to query. Healthcare providers and public health researchers may also request bulk data exports for research purposes through PHIG.
